Gold and silver prices continued to decline across India's domestic bullion markets during early trading on Tuesday. With the exception of Chennai, where prices witnessed a much steeper correction, gold prices fell by ₹100 to ₹110 per 10 grams in most major markets across the country. Silver prices also registered a sharp decline of ₹5,000 per kilogram.
In Chennai, gold recorded the steepest fall of the day, with prices dropping between ₹1,400 and ₹1,530 per 10 grams.
Following the decline, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹146,610 and ₹147,920 per 10 grams across most bullion markets, while 22-carat gold was priced between ₹134,390 and ₹135,590 per 10 grams. Silver was trading at ₹244,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In the national capital, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹146,760 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was selling at ₹134,540 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was available at ₹146,610 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹134,390 per 10 grams.
Ahmedabad recorded retail prices of ₹146,660 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹134,440 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.
Among other major cities, Chennai saw 24-carat gold trading at ₹147,920 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹135,590 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹146,610 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹134,390 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was selling at ₹146,660 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹134,440 per 10 grams.
Jaipur reported prices of ₹146,760 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹134,540 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold. In Patna, 24-carat gold was available at ₹146,660 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹134,440 per 10 grams.
In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹146,760 per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold selling at ₹134,540 per 10 grams.
Gold prices also declined in the bullion markets of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar. In all three cities, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹146,610 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹134,390 per 10 grams.
