Markets tumble in early trade as the Sensex and Nifty decline

Due to sustained selling, around 10:00 a.m. the index dropped to 24,050.55 points, down by more than 160 points. After that, buyers once again attempted to build buying momentum, leading to a slight improvement in the index's position. Amid continuous buying and selling, after the first hour of trading, at 10:15 a.m., the Nifty was trading at 24,083.75 points, down 127.25 points.

In contrast, IT stocks attracted robust buying interest, helping the Nifty IT Index close 2.43 per cent higher.
