Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders Sanjay Raut stated that a meeting of Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs was held under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree. Some MPs attended in person, while others joined virtually.
According to Raut, all MPs affirmed in the meeting that they would stay with the party and Uddhav Thackeray.Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders Sanjay Raut, Arvind Sawant, and Anil Desai have accused the opposition of trying to break the party’s MPs.
The leaders claim that some MPs have been offered up to ₹15 crore to switch sides. The party has issued a whip for the parliamentary meeting and has also written a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker informing him of the situation.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said that rebel MPs will not be spared. When asked by the media about reports of some MPs rebelling, Sanjay Raut said, “At present, I feel everyone is together and the party is united. I have no official information about any resignation or anyone leaving the party. However, we are receiving such news through the media.”
He added that the meeting of MPs under Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership took place at Matoshree, with some attending physically and others virtually.
According to Raut, every MP present declared that they would remain with the party and Uddhav Thackeray.
At the same time, he issued an open warning to the rebel MPs. Sanjay Raut said, “One took the oath in the name of Sai Baba, one in the name of Goddess Bhavani, one in the name of his mother, and another in the name of his mother and daughter. Even after all this, if anyone leaves Shiv Sena, we will not spare them.”
Raut said, “If despite this, anyone wants to betray Shiv Sena, we will not let them go. The rebel MPs were elected on the Shiv Sena (UBT) election symbol.”
He claimed that a letter has been sent to the Lok Sabha Speaker and a party meeting has been called. Raut said that those MPs who want to switch sides should first resign. He alleged that MPs are being bought in Maharashtra and that the BJP is trying to split Shiv Sena. However, there has been no immediate reaction from the BJP on these allegations.
Raut further claimed that ₹15 crore each was delivered to some MPs during the night itself, and they were flown out in chartered planes. However, these claims could not be independently verified.
Sanjay Raut further said, “These are all members, MPs, and representatives of our party, for whom our workers worked with great dedication and sacrifice under Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership. We gave them tickets, provided financial help during elections, and did everything possible according to our capacity.Even after all these efforts, if such news is coming about them, they should come forward and clearly deny it. I want to say once again that this situation cannot continue. If anyone wants to leave, they should first resign. The people of Maharashtra will no longer remain silent.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant said, “If someone comes and says anything, it won’t matter. A party is a party. This is not just about MPs or MLAs. MPs and MLAs are also part of the party cadre. So far, no one has contacted us nor informed us that they are leaving the party. No one has given us any such news.”
Sanjay Raut wrote on X: “A chartered plane lands at Nanded airport. It takes away two MPs under the secret code name ‘Operation Tiger’. They didn’t even have the means to travel by auto-rickshaw. Yet, thanks to the ‘Thackeray’ brand, their status has risen so much that they can travel in a private jet. Every single thing will be accounted for. Why do you call these cowardly jackals ‘Tigers’ for their flight?”
In another post, Sanjay Raut said, “There is no answer from the media. Nashik MP Rajabhau Waje has gone to Delhi to attend the Industries Committee meeting, but the news circulating here is telling a completely different story.”
Hingoli MP Nagesh Ashtekar said, “I am in Hingoli, but these people can even forge my signatures! As for these people, the public and Shiv Sainiks will not spare them at all this time — that is for sure!”
