Hyderabad, Aug 12 (IANS) Actor Jr NTR underwent arthroscopic surgery at a hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday following a shoulder injury sustained during a recent film shoot.
The procedure was successfully performed at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, by a team of orthopaedic surgeons. According to a health bulletin issued by the hospital, the actor is doing fine.
The bulletin stated that Jr NTR had suffered an unfortunate injury to his shoulder and, after close consultation and follow‑up care with medical specialists, it was determined that arthroscopic surgery would facilitate a quicker and more complete recovery.
A team of orthopaedic surgeons led by R. A. Purnachandra Tejswi, Nithin Bejjanki, Madhusudhan Rao and Srinivas Rao Surapaneni carried out the surgery.
The bulletin confirmed that the procedure was completely successful and that Jr NTR will now begin a structured rehabilitation programme under medical supervision. Doctors anticipate a full recovery within two to three months.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR expressed gratitude on social media, saying he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers from fans.
“The surgery was successful, and I’m doing well. My heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team of doctors at KIMS. To my friends, family and fans; your support gives me strength every single day. See you soon,” he posted on X.
The actor sustained the injury late last week, and his team announced that he was advised to take complete rest for six to eight weeks. On Tuesday, his team confirmed that surgery was scheduled for Wednesday following a medical evaluation.
The statement added that doctors were working to ensure his smooth recovery and promised to keep fans updated on his progress.
