Israel’s major attack on Lebanon’s capital, three PFLP leaders killed in drone attack

BEIRUT: Carrying out a massive campaign against Hezbollah, Israel shook Lebanon’s capital Beirut with continuous drone attacks in the early hours of Monday.

The Israeli army targeted a building in the city with a drone attack. At least 4 people were killed in the attack, including three top leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is active in a tough struggle against Israel.

The Israeli army has been targeting residential areas of Beirut since Sunday. According to the report of The Times of Israel, PFLP has issued a statement saying that its three top leaders were killed in an Israeli attack on a building in the Kola district of Beirut at midnight. Although earlier it was feared that this attack was carried out by another terrorist organization Al Jama al Islamia (Islamic Group), but the organization has denied it. On the other hand, the Israeli army has not commented on these attacks.

Israel is continuously intensifying its campaign against Iran-backed armed organizations. On Sunday, Israel attacked Hezbollah bases in Lebanon and killed 45 fighters, including a senior Hezbollah commander. This leader named Nabil Kaouk was the deputy head of Hezbollah’s central committee. Along with this, dozens of Israeli planes bombed the bases of Houthi rebels in Yemen.
